Beginning today, Dec. 19, the City has reopened 19th St. between Harper St. and O’Connell Rd. It will remain open through February 2023. In March 2023, the City will restart the E 19th St. construction project and close 19th St. from 2000 E 19th St. to O’Connell Rd.

Th project is shutting down for the winter months because asphalt plants are closing for the season. Low temperatures prevent the manufacturing and installation of asphalt pavement.

The E 19th St. construction was originally slated to be completed in August of 2022, but had significant delays due to weather and other unanticipated construction issues. The City anticipates completing the remaining work by the end of May 2023, pending weather or other delays.
