Throughout March we're highlighting some of the incredible leaders in our community in honor of Women's History Month. Our next highlight is Kylie Williamson, director of admissions (pictured in red). Kylie started her career in nonprofit but knew she wanted to be in higher education. Her first role in higher education was as a community education coordinator at KCKCC. From there, she spent time in enrollment management ranging from student affairs, advising, financial aid, and admissions.

She said, "I am very lucky to have had several strong mentors professionally. They showed me how to excel in a field that has been male dominated previously. I am able to reach out to them for not only professional advice but support in balancing my roles as a wife and mother."

"One thing that impressed me about Baker was the amount of women in positions of leadership. I think it shows that Baker's mission and values are not just a written statement but an actual guide to how we function as a university."
