Buses will be free for Election Day on November 8

Lawrence residents have a free way to get to the polls this Election Day. Lawrence Transit is offering free rides to customers on Tuesday, November 8 to encourage all residents to get out and vote. All fixed-route and paratransit buses will be free.

“Participating in elections is an important right for all people to have a say in who represents them,” said Adam Weigel, Transit & Parking Manager. “Free transit on Election Day makes it easier for people in Lawrence to get to the polls.”

Voters are reminded to verify their polling place at: https://www.douglascountyks.org/depts/voting-and-elections/where-to-vote
