Westlake Ace Hardware to give away American flags

Westlake Ace Hardware will give away free American flags on Saturday, May 28 to honor the Memorial Day holiday.

Kansas lost 328 soldiers in the Korean war and 386 in the Vietnam conflict.

Consumers visiting the store at 711 W 23rd St, Lawrence will receive a free 8’ by 12’ American flag. A second will be donated to the local VFW Alford-Clarke Post to be used for marking veterans’ graves on Memorial Day.

This year, Ace Hardware Corporation aims to again give away more than one million American flags nationally. Last year, it gave away more than 500,000 to Ace customers and more than 550,000 to more than 1,900 VFW Posts.

Flags will be available at Westlake Ace Hardware while quantities last. Each consumer is limited to one free flag; no purchase is necessary.

Westlake Ace Hardware is located at 711 W 23rd St, Lawrence, Kansas. This location is owned by Joseph Jeffries, represented by Ken Krueger and managed by Paul Groundwater.
