92 percent of applicants to the University of Kansas were admitted for fall 2018

At the University of Kansas, 91 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 52 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Lawrence enrolled 27,690 students in fall 2018, including 19,596 in undergraduate and 8,094 in graduate programs, data shows. 6.4 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

58 percent of undergraduates are residents of Kansas, and 37 percent are residents of other states. 4 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (70 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (8 percent).

The school admitted 92 percent of the 14,752 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 31 percent enrolled.
