The announcement is significant for fans eager to follow the team’s progress and plan attendance at key matchups. The schedule provides insight into Kansas’s preparation for the season and highlights opportunities to see high-level competition in Lawrence.
The preseason begins with three exhibition games scheduled for Aug. 8, Aug. 15, and Aug. 22—all set for 1 p.m. Central Time in Lawrence. The final exhibition on Aug. 22 will be against Creighton Bluejays, while the first two are designated as Kansas matches.
Regular-season play starts at the Opening Spike Classic on Aug. 28 against Pittsburgh, followed by a match versus Stanford on Aug. 30; specific match times will be announced later. In early September, Kansas travels to Nashville to participate in the Lipscomb Tournament from Sept. 3–5, facing both Lipscomb Bisons and Florida State Seminoles.
After returning home for a midweek game against Wichita State Shockers volleyball, Kansas will host South Dakota State on Sept. 11 and Tulsa on Sept. 13 during the Kansas Invitational—marking their first of two consecutive home tournaments since the 2024 season ended this way.
Following another matchup with Wichita State in Wichita on Sept. 15, non-conference play concludes with the Jayhawk Classic from Sept.18–20 where Ole Miss and GCU visit Lawrence.
Dates, times, and ticket information for these events will be released later according to officials’ statements about ongoing scheduling details.
